
Sleiman words came in a speech which he made on Friday during the opening of "My Land: Promising Tomorrow" conference at "The Holy Spirit University" (USEK) in Kaslik.
"Preserving the Land and protecting it is a vital duty in all internationally acknowledged constitutional documents to verify living for all nationals," Sleiman said.
The President added that unity of values is guaranteed by unity of law and not by using discretion in its application.
He stressed that the unity of law is only protected by the legitimate institutions which don't have partner in taking decisions and implementing them politically and militarily.
Sleiman assured that "it's unacceptable to have Lebanon's export limited to our youth, brains and labor."
He added that the economy is the core of politics, explaining that politics is the management of economy and the zest of the Lebanese society.
The President indicated need to commit to constitutional deadlines including the presidential and parliamentary elections.
"Baabda declaration becomes from the constants ands on the same level as the national constitution; duly, it rises above ministerial statements...and everybody is going to need this declaration and demand its implementation."
The President called for "finding a solution for the return of the displaced Syrians to their country as they present a sustainable danger on the land, wealth, demographic balance, integration of population and resources, indicating need to be decisive over foreigners' ownership law and refusing the Palestinians' naturalization".
Sleiman said that the Foreign Affairs Minister must seek to register the biggest number possible of expatriates for the upcoming parliamentary elections, calling upon the "new cabinet to study and endorse a new election law".
