The Make a Splash contest invited Toronto students to share a story, memory or wish about Toronto’s waterways and indicate why it’s important to keep them clean and healthy. Two winners were selected, one from an elementary school and one from a secondary school. The elementary school winner is Ryerson Community School. The schools will each receive $5,000 for a project to green the school, courtesy of RBC.
The winning entry was submitted by Vanessa Sokic, a Grade 11 student at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School.
