As the co-president of the Quebec’ NDP’S Women’s Commission (from 2011 to 2014) and Federal delegate representing Quebec at the NDP Federal council, she believes it is essential to bring more attention to women rights and gender equality: women must participate more to political life, acquire a higher education, benefit from equal salaries, and live in society exempt from violence, racism and discrimination. Those claims and demands will bring changes to social inequities related to poverty and cultural conflicts
Mrs. Gagnon has recently created her Web site in order to reach out and communicate with all members and supporters living in her district of Vimy. It’s an effective way to find out more about her life course, her objectives, and her political and social speeches as well as to allow volunteers to sign up!
In addition, conscientious of the fact that not all people have access to the Internet, Mrs. Gagnon will take great pleasure in meeting all that wish to meet her, specially those in great needs of all sorts.
Finally, she wishes that 2015 government will be the first to be made up of as much elected women as men and make Canada’s Parliament the first egalitarian one.
This objective cannot be reached with all and everyone’s efforts, without getting implicated in women’s campaign and without supporting them to reach gender equity.
All citizens are always invited to follow Mrs Gagnon on social media: Facebook, Twitter, and to write her via her email.
