An enthusiastic crowd of supporters was on hand for the official opening of the campaign headquarters of Marie-Josée Lemieux, the NDP candidate for the new riding of
Marc-Aurèle-Fortin, Friday evening. The event marked the kick-off of the 2015 federal election campaign. The campaign office is located at 130 Ste-Rose Boulevard, in the beautiful Vieux Ste-Rose district of Laval.
More than 60 people were on hand to meet and discuss issues with Marie-Josée and her team, a group of energetic and devoted volunteers, all working to enhance the well-being of their fellow citizens by bringing lasting change to Ottawa, October 19th.
“This will be a long campaign but we will see it through because we all feel it is imperative to put a stop to the erosion of our values orchestrated by Stephen Harper and his conservatives. A window of opportunity has opened and we must seize it in
Marc-Aurèle-Fortin,” said the candidate.
Several NDP incumbents and candidates were on hand to show their support for
Marie-Josée including Rosane Doré-Lefebvre, incumbent in the riding of Alfred-Pellan, François Pilon, incumbent in Laval-les-îles and Réjean Bellemare, candidate in the riding of Reprentigny.
The office opening also signals the beginning of campaign activities in the
riding of Marc-Aurèle-Fortin.
